Christmas Christmas time is here...

On Christmas day we had a massive snowstorm. Something like 8 or 10 inches. BUT it was sooo much fun taking the kids out to play. Keenan's first time in the snow. He did ok but absolutely hated the blowing snow in his face. My dad, Aunt Denise, and Uncle Chuck, all from warm climates were visiting. Lets just say they got their fill of snow. Dad didn't let the cold air and almost foot of snow keep him from wearing shorts though.

Me, Keenan, Eric and Mavi.

My dad helping Keenan ride the adorable zebra my mom sent. So cute- Mavi loves it too.

Eric, Mavi, me, Keenan, my Aunt Denise and my dad in front of our GORGEOUS Frasier fir. The most perfect Christmas tree any of us has ever owned.

Keenie Beanie having a giggle with Aunt Denise.

Aunt Marni gave us their old sled that has a seatbelt. He really did like it even tho he doesn't look that thrilled in the pic.

Mommy and Keenie freezin' our arses off in the cold.

Aunt Denise, Dad, and Keenan

Mavi is too cute in his big boy boots and snowpants. This kid's face will be purple before he wants to come in. He sits outside and eats the snow for 45 minutes at a time.

Another lovely bath pic. Love how Mavi has captured Keenan with his feet.

Although Uncle Chuck doesn't do "little people", he seems to be feeding Keenan his bottle like a pro. I think he's really a closet baby guy.

"My turn, my turn." Mavi fell in love with Uncle Chuck and needed his time alone with him since Keenan took up a huge chunk of "Chuck time" while being fed.

Aunt Jami got the kids (and us!) some great gifts- here's the guitar and Mavi with Cookie Monster. He does this adorable Cookie Monster voice. So cute.

On the zebra again.

We had a terrific Christmas this year. I think we made up for the crappy one last year and this year's sick Thanksgiving. The kids had so much fun seeing Grandpa Steve and Chuck and Denise. Eric had a week off when everyone was visiting so it was really like a family Christmas. Thanks to EVERYONE (especially Dad, C&D, Nana & Poppa, the Schultz's, & Aunt Jami & Dave) for making our holiday time so much freakin' fun! Keenan also got his two front teeth for Christmas! Sort of. They popped in finally since he has the ones on the sides, I am hoping he will start looking less vampire-ish. Mavi is growing and talking so so much. It is hilarious. And it also helps me realize we need to watch everything we say. Today it was "Oh, Jesus." Whoops. We got another 7 inches today so our grand snow total is about 2 feet in the yard. It is hilarious to watch the boys play in it. Tyler and Caleb take turns giving Mavi rides on their sleds. So cute. I also have to say a big thanks to the Davidson-whatever your last names are now clan for making this Christmas lots of fun. If I drink anymore wine I think I may turn into a grape. Take care and we hope your holiday was as sweet as ours was.

Just chillin'

For those of you who are unfamiliar with our house's layout, we have an armoire in the entryway with some toys and books. The kids like to open the drawers and take out the toys. Or put Keenan in. This lovely behind greeted me as I came in from getting the mail.

He thought it would be fun to surf on the books. Emergency room visit???? Fortunately I grabbed him just as he was toppling out of the drawer.

Apparently two year olds hate to have their picture taken unless it is their idea. He does not like to do ANYTHING I ask him to do so I have a feeling the pics of Mavi will be few and far between for a while.

Keenan thought he could navigate himself over the stepstool, but thought better of it and went around. This kid is walking everywhere! He only crawls when he wants to go superfast- like to get some dog food or go up the stairs!

And finally, these are Mavi's "ants". He has taken to fixating on a particular set of toys for a few days that must eat, sleep, and do EVERYTHING with. We decided to take a picture of them since he refuses to sit for the camera. I know it is starting to sound as though I am exasperated with this little guy (and I am), BUT we do love him and can only hope this terrible twos thing will only last a short time. Please send booze to help us through. Just joking. Unless you think it will help. :) Take care!!

Quick update- Keenan went to the Dr. today. His lungs are finally clear. He now weighs 18 and a half pounds (only 20th percentile!). He lost a pound last week, but has put on a couple ounces. Still looks pretty chunky to me though. He is 28 1/2 inches long (55th percentile) and has a normal sized head (45th percentile). Now here comes the bragging- he is at a 12 month level on gross motor, fine motor, and problem solving (don't ask- I have no idea) skills. He started walking and clapping for himself when Dr. Lisa came in just to show off. Mavi sat there and cried and screamed for the first five minutes Dr. Lisa was there, but calmed down enough to get a sticker once she left. Then we went to the mall where he screamed and cried basically the whole time we were there. Does anyone need a 2 year old??? We're willing to rent him out fairly cheap... :) Just kidding. Sort of.

Finally!!!

Mavi and Keenan love spinning in the office chair. Keenie gets dizzy much quicker than Mavi and tries to escape .
Mavi's just chillin' with the monkey he got from Aunt Denise and Uncle Chuck, his "sweet baby" who must always be wrapped in a blanket since he only has swimming trunks and no clothes, and his love ya. It's hard to swing wearing a winter coat!

This little stinker takes full advantage of when mommy has her back turned. I bet that's only half of the wipes he managed to get out of the box!

Mavi and his fave cousin, Tyler.

Look Mom- only one hand!

Mavi's other fave- his good girl.

This was just too cute not to post.

As you can see, we have already figured out who the dominant sibling is...

Mavi's awesome b day cake that our friend Josh made for him. He wanted to eat car cake every day for a week.

OKAY! Tonight I am having Eric put the pics on our computer since the usb cord has mysteriously disappeared. Just for a quick update- Keenan has started WALKING! Yes, our 9 month old started taking steps last weekend and is now officially walking- 3 or 4 steps at a time. He has also sprouted a new tooth on top. Mavi is talking up a storm and repeating everything!! His new phrase is "Oh, my God!" Keenie, Mavi, and I have been in bed almost all last week and over this weekend with a KILLER virus. Keenan had to have a round of steroids, but is starting to get better each day. Mavi is still in the horrible coughing phase of the virus and I'm trying to get him through without steroids. We'll see. Pics soon.

Keenan's fave activity, besides climbing the stairs, is checking out the fridge.

Our little cheeseball.

Keenan can not wait to get his hands on the spoon when we feed him.

I think that's my mom holding the kids on her visit out here. Mavi is attempting to kiss Keenan who is more interested in the camera.

Mavi loves pizza!

So here are some pics from early September. No movies yet, but I'll start putting pics up again. The kids are ok- both have had the flu- actually Mavi currently has the flu...but is on the mend. Keenan is now standing alone, but we haven't gotten him to take a step quite yet. Soon. Mavi is very into the Car show (thanks Nana and Poppa) and the Jungle show (thanks Grandma Rosie). He loves to dance to the music from the Jungle show. I'll put up birthday pics and more recent shots in a day or two.

Soon...

ok people, please be patient with me. Eric has been gone constantly and I need his help uploading our new camera's videos. But this weekend I will blog for sure. Mavi went to the doc yesterday and is 22.2 pounds (less than 3rd percentile) and is 34 inches (50th percentile). He is learning new words every day. Loves to say the f word, but won't say please or thank you. I have no idea where he picked up the f word :). Keenie is 18 and a half pounds and is 27 1/2 inches long. Both got their flu shots and are doing ok. He loves eating dog food and climbing up the stairs when I'm not looking. Anyway- pics soon.

A new toy!

Ok. With a gift from Nana and Poppa I have finally started videoing the kids. Here is my first attempt at posting with many more to follow soon! I hope! All has been crazy at our house with an explosion in the oven last week and a power outage the next day. All I have to say is Thank God for wine! The kids are wild as ever and both are growing and learning new things every day. A big congrats to Karla and Mike on their new little wild one- Just wait guys- it gets even more fun!

More Cuteness

I am not diggin in the garbage. I swear.

Three little monkeys.

Mavi started to show me his muscles but ended up laughing at Keenie Bean instead.

Oreo's are yummy.

I can climb on the fireplace.

Thank you Aunt Marni. Keenan loves to watch this little Elmo do the Hokey Pokey and spin around.

Wooden spoons are yummy...

So are plastic spoons...

So the kiddos have been good these last few weeks. Keenan is constantly in the dog bowls. I swear to God he's in there more than the dog! He is crawling up the stairs now, so I've reintroduced the baby gates. Ahhh how Mavi loves having a baby around. :) He is so pissed that he has to share his toys and isn't able to freely roam the house right now. I am constantly hearing "no, no baby- that's mine!" Mavi's intestinal situation has gotten much better since eliminating milk and milk products from his diet. Thank god. Sash went to the vet earlier this week and is 8 pounds overweight- she now weighs 59 pounds. Poor girl, don't we all have to go on a diet? UGH! Anyway, all is good and Eric starts his new job next week. YAY!

New cute pics- a quickie

Is he not the most adorable baby in the whole wide world?

Mavi has a way of looking like the biggest goofball whenever I bring the camera out!

Did Mom get out all of the shampoo?

I love the big boy tub!!!

Mavi goofin' around with good girl.

I think it's a rite of passage in our house to get a photo taken while french kissing the dog.

Keenie loves Sasha!

Dr. Lisa suggested we just put Keenan's food on the table and let him use his fingers to scoop it up since he HATES when we feed him. We did that once. Thanks for the great advice. :)

Ok, so I have a ton of new pics but only have time to put a few on right now. These are the kiddos lovin' up on Sasha, our good girl, and babies in the tub. Keenan has since given up his little tub seat and crawls and splashes all over the big tub. He had his 6 month checkup and is 17.4 pounds and is 26 and a half inches long. Only 5 pounds to go til he and Mavi weigh the same- I think it'll happen before the 1st b-day.
