Pikes Peak

View from the Cog Rail. Or maybe from the top of Pike's Peak. I wouldn't know because I was stuck inside the building with a sleeping child the ENTIRE time we got to be at the top.
Mavi cheesing with his Village Inn balloon.

Keenan with his perma pout on. This kid is under the impression that the world should revolve around him and is just pissed off that it doesn't. What to do??? :)

Mommy playing with Keenan and Sasha.

Daddy and Keenan.

Well, we rode the cog rail up to Pike's Peak for "fun" for Eric's last flex friday of the summer. Next year I think we will all get root canals instead. 'Nuff said. Mavi starts school next week and is super excited. I'll hopefully have more photos in the coming weeks. See ya!

The Beanin is 18 months old tomorrow!

Keenan officially turns 18 months old tomorrow and I thought I would share his amazing and spectacular :) progress with you all... In language: he says tons of stuff, but the most clear are: mama, dada, up, bath, help, buh-bye, sure, and a handful of other things. Also phrases, like: I did it, I didn't do it, I dumped it, I jump. He also can make animal noises: dog, cat, cow, duck, frog, horse He can jump, dance, walk up the stairs, walk down the stairs, climb on the table and chairs, run, do somersaults with help, basically anything a 2 year old can do. He loves to watch movies and asks for them by name, even though we can't understand him. He tries to go potty like Mavi (who is now completely pee trained) but hasn't produced anything on the potty yet. He loves all animals, but ends up scaring them by running full blast at them and screaming. He is the clumsiest kid I have ever seen in my life and even has trouble changing direction. He needs a backup signal like big trucks have. Hmmm... that's all I can really think of right now. So there's Keenan at 18 months.

The North Pole and other little tidbits...

Mavi and Keenan on the firetruck at the North Pole.

Riding in a boat.

Beanie trying to climb out of the boat... of course.

Ok, so the kids were playing in the sprinkler and I was about to take them all inside when I remembered that Diego and his mommy had made cupcakes for us to snack on. Cupcakes with pudding in the middle and frosting AND a cherry on top. Definitely an outside snack. So instead of getting them dressed only to have to change and clean them once again, I let them eat cupcakes nekkie. In the backyard. And once they were done I hosed them off. Literally. With the HOSE. At least they had fun!

Mavi, Diego, and the beanie at the zoo.

Diego and Mav on the train at the zoo.

At the North Pole.

This is the ACTUAL North Pole, people. You can tell because it is ice and it stays frozen all year round. Riiiiiiight.

Just a little clip to show you what Keenan looks like at this very moment. Usually his tongue is in his mouth, though.

This is what Mavi does when we get out the camera and tell him to say CHEESE! Yes, I know it's very dorky, but I must admit it's better than him running away or turning around.

Our little babies watching a movie together.

Poor Keenie, Maveric keeps him up all night and he totally passed out watching his new fave movie, Nemo.

Yes, we do love our sleep around here.
